All Quiet on the Yuri Front

Hello everyone, it’s been a while.
Were you expecting a new scanlation? Well, too bad, this is just a blog post to let everyone know why I’ve been inactive in the last year.
Long story short, I work far from home with a long commute that leaves me with very little free time (sometimes I wake up just in time to eat something and then leave for wok) every working day. I’m trying to find a place to live that’s not so far from my workplace, but the housing market is fucked.
Not exactly the life I’ve imagined just a few years ago, but it is what it is.
As you can see, I’ve got a new domain and a new host, too. I haven’t completely given up on scanlations or translations, I just don’t have much time and I hope I can release *something* this year.

Liberty

Yeah, what happened to Liberty? It’s on hiatus again, without any reason or information given. I can’t hide I found this situation deeply frustrating because this manga started in 2017, almost TEN years ago, it has only 22 chapters and since 2022 only three chapters have been release, with a three years hiatus between 21 and 22. I guess the main reason for this long wait is that Kitta Izumi is busy taking care of her daughter who will turn 2 in November and doesn’t have enough time to work on Liberty.
We have no choice but to wait. Stay tuned.

I’ve got some good news!
The masterpiece “The Story of a Strict Teacher Who Got Fucked by Her Gyaru Bitch Student” (translated by yours truly!) just got licensed in the US under the title “Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut” by J18 Publishing. You can buy it HERE. Please support the GOAT if you can!
Also, he announced he’s working on a new manga about a girl experiencing a lesbian brothel during a school festival… Crazy, I like it already. I should become a NEET just to have time to scanlate it.

Anyway, that’s it for today. I’m planning on changing this blog a bit, and I already started by hiding some old stuff that I don’t care about anymore. But the translations of Sumipe’s old blog will stay. I love you Sumipe!

Guess who’s back?

Good news everyone!
The February issue of Galette just came out, but what really matters to us is the preview of the June issue, which shows that Liberty will finally come back after an almost three years long hiatus!
Something tells me it won’t be the last chapter, since that would mean the 3rd volume would be just four chapters long, so I believe the adventures of Liz and Maki will last for at least three more chapters. But this is just my theory, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Oooohhh, I missed you! I missed you so much!

All work and no yuri makes Yuri a dull boy

G’day mate, how ya goin’?
It’s been a while since I’ve written (or released) anything here. I’ve been busy with my Australian life and I had no time for scanlations, which makes me a bit sad. That said, I want to update you on your favourite yuri manga that’s been on hiatus for well over two years: Liberty.
In April of this year, Momomo Moto announced on Twitter that Liberty will definitely be completed, but, due to her busy schedule, it’ll probably happen in 2025. Why such a long hiatus? Well, maybe it has something to do with the fact that Kitta Izumi gave birth to a healthy baby girl on November 1st. Congratulations to her and her husband!
Hopefully 2025 will give us both Liberty and Goodbye, Daisy and… I think Pandacorya is working on something new. I don’t know where I’ll be or what exactly I’m gonna do next year, but I hope it’ll be a good year for both yuri and Yuri (that’s me).

The Magnificent Kotobuki Take Off Girls Team Songs: Akatsuki Phantom Thieves Gang– The Grand Notice

Sorry for the wait, here comes one of my favourite songs from Kotobuki and my absolute favourite squadron: the Akatsuki Phantom Thieves! Their chemistry, stories, characters and aesthetics really stole my heart. In a world devastated by conflict, they try to bring a little bit of romanticism, for example, by stealing a fish just to dump it in the lake where it came from to make it reunite with its friends. The “grand notice” of the title refers to the fact they always leave a notice card to announce what they’re going to steal…They’re phantom thieves, after all.
